Prince William Will Participate in COP30 Climate Summit in South America
Prince William is scheduled to attend the United Nations climate conference in South America during November, according to palace sources.
Prince William and King Charles made a joint appearance on Thursday evening at a event preceding the environmental conference, which is scheduled to take place in the Amazonian city of Belem.
Father and son were in attendance at the Natural History Museum reception, marking an unusual joint appearance at a environmental conference preliminary meeting organized in partnership with the UK government.
Climate Leadership Dedication
The King has been a longstanding advocate of protecting nature - and Prince William has taken on the baton, with his own environmental prize initiative, which will be taking place in South America preceding the climate conference.
Royal sources have characterized Prince William's attendance at the upcoming climate summit as stepping up an crucial position in "environmental negotiations".
Previous Activities
The King and Prince of Wales, making a joint entrance in the royal vehicle, were welcomed participants featuring conservation experts, researchers, environmental activists, diplomats and politicians.
This involvement included speaking alongside President Emmanuel Macron of France and other international figures at the Ocean Finance Summit in the Principality of Monaco earlier this year.

The monarch has been a influential participant at earlier environmental conferences, providing the introductory remarks in Dubai for COP28, including the observation: "Our responsibility is to protect the world we inhabit".
"Throughout my life I've dedicated a large proportion of my life trying to warn of the critical dangers challenging our world over global warming, global temperature increases and species extinction," the King told delegates.
