Aircraft Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Popular California Coast
A chopper soaring near a well-attended coastal coastline unexpectedly began spiraling out of control, eventually descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm fronds as onlookers observed.
Videos posted on the internet capture the aircraft commencing to spiral near Huntington Beach then falling towards the perimeter of the beach, where it gets stuck among palm trees and a staircase near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility including two individuals who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” following the crash on Saturday.
Three people on the street were hurt. Information on their wounds were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
